Does the Illinois Governor and His Minions want the old, the poor, and the less educated in prison?

Illinois is rapidly approaching the date when Illinois residents must register many different guns the government considers assault weapons or face huge fines and years in prison.

The problem is, the guns they want registered are only officially listed on the ISP website. Further, they can only be registered in a complicated process also on the ISP website.

Granted if you are reading this, you have both computer and internet access and the knowledge of how to use both. My question is: How do those less educated or too elderly, or those too poor to own or access computers and the internet even know they are about to become felons?

While I know this plays into the Governor's view of life, it seems very unfair to me. It seems even more disgraceful that our local (Illinois) media isn't reporting on this issue.

Dunno about IL, but the writing is on the wall. Dems want America disarmed. I will go underground, but won't register or turn in.

I've kept a dozen revolvers for that time if it ever comes to it. I have little use for revolvers in this day and age. I have only kept them for last ditch, anti-dem insurance.

The dems have tried in the past to outlaw any gun holding more than 5 rounds in some states. So that would wipe out half of my revolver stash if they passed it. The thing with revolvers is...you need to carry a bag full of them to equal one semi-auto.

The bad thing about this stupid law is that the way it is worded all small parts that you would use to put an AR together also have to be registered. there are so many things wrong with this registration scheme .

Also , I can see any computer system the ISP ( Illinois State Police ) sets up to do the registration failing and not usable in a very short time .

This is one of the obvious, glaring purposes of this nonsense; render the process either innately difficult, or outright impossible to satisfy.

As far a jail is concerned, No…it won’t happen. As far as a tool to financially wipeout any non compliant rapscallion, Yes. Courts will lallygag with procedure, lawyers make mo’ money, law firms donate heavy to judges and candidacies that feed them. Endless cycle.

For those that may not be aware;
It was law at one time that all guns possessed within the city of Chicago had to be registered. Lawsuit (McDonald v. Chicago – similar to D.C. v. Heller) on concealed carry changed that ordinance in 2013. We’ll have to see how this new “registry“ will be affected but dont count on the J-B bought and paid for IL Supreme Court AND the IL Atty General.

How things are and will done here in IL ….take a look;

Don't forget the JB the Hut :poop: just made it legal to hire non citizens who grew up in totalitarian countries who have no tradition and no respect for our constitution or bill of rights to enforce his will.

Don't forget Humpty Dumpty just passed a no cash bail law so even if people do go to jail they just walk right out 😀

Only "the oppressed " walk with no bail. We, the contributing members of society will be held in lieu of bail or have an astronomical bail imposed requiring us to remortgage our homes and sell off all assets . They got us with their idea of justice.

No they are not trying to make felons out of anyone, they JUST DON'T CARE.
"How do those less educated or too elderly, or those too poor to own or access computers and the internet"
Of the three you mentioned, only the elderly should be of any concern. Less Educated, oh come on. they may not be able to balance a check book, read cursive, or find the USA on a globe, but they can damn sure run a computer and play video games. As for the "poor" we give them everything anyway. They will have a smart phone, laptop, and a tablet, while you're working to pay your bills.
Nope Illinois is just run by a bunch of dirt bags, that the people voted in.
