You do great work sir !Today's progress. My wife helped with the joist. She held one end up while I set the other, then I came over and set the one she was holding. We had a system. It worked pretty well.

Well I still need to run pavers all the way around it and put stringers and stairs but the heavy lifting is done. I’ll be putting a cover/roof next spring.

I'll tell you one thing. It was a lot harder than I expected it to be. Physically. 5 years ago it would have been nothing. Now ? There was an inordinate amount of pain involved.

If you can read a level, read a tape measure and know what "mind the kerf" means you can do it. No specialty tools. Good saw, good level, line and line levels, couple little impact screw guns and a regular drill for pilot holes, couple shovels and a wheelbarrow and Bob's yer uncle.Hi @Bassbob,

I could probably do that if I had the tools, the brains, the skills, whatever.
