Double-Stack Subcompacts.......

Good article. I have several (if not all & more), of the aforementioned double stack compacts listed in the article including my recent addition FN 509C with Trijicon SRO optic. I'll go further than this article's stated trend, and have gone to barrel lengths of 3.6" & 3.7" double stacks. To this end I've purchased the S&W 2.0 compacts (3.6" bbl) in 9mm & 40, the Beretta 92FS Compact (3.7" bbl), in 9mm and the Sig P365 XL optic ready (3.7" bbl) 9mm. As the article states, you can carry larger capacity mags with their optional mag sleeves, for potential reloads. I've yet to try to carry IWB, and want to see/feel how this compares to the single & compact (3.3" and less bbl) double stacks as far as comfort and printing goes.

I tried to like Glock when I got my first carry license. Wanted the G26 for concealed carry. However I guess I am just to set in my ways by owning the 1911 platform through many years and couldn't get along with the grip angle . I never did by the Ruger semi auto .22 for the same reason.

I have nothing against the Glock platform other than that grip angle.

I still have & use my 10mm G29 because of its compact size, 10mm power, and mag capacity.

I wish SA would come up with a compact 10mm as a counter to the G29, and of course be better in a few ways than the G29.

My Son and Son in law both have XD Mod2s in 9mm and they love them. For them it is the ergonomics, from grip angle, Grip Zone, fiber optic front sight, and concealability.
I agree with everything they said, I like my compact so much I bought a MOD-2 Tactical for the range.
I know Glocks work, but they never fit my hand.

Had quite a few, but I’m pretty much down to two that I normally use; P30skV3S and a USP40 Compact V1 with a .357 barrel.

I need to pick up another VP9SK, but I won’t carry it...I’ve found I much prefer hammered pistols over strikers for carry (with the exception, of course, for the P7...which is not a compact).
