Double Whammy

Well, I can tell that your sense of humor is as good as ever. I bet you'll be fine by tomorrow.
My sense of humor has helped me to survive to this ripe old age  . This morning I feel "normal". meaning I only have the familiar monkey on my back (repetitive shoulder pain), and he's lazy today. I hate feeling sick. I have way too much to do and hardly any time to do it. Story of my life. Got my granddaughter's dance program this afternoon, so I can't afford to be sick!

I tell ya what kicked my but more than flu or Covid shots was the Shingles shot. That sucked.
Well ….hang in there you are most likely through the worst of it. Milk it though, maybe you can get the mister to serve you meals in bed.
OMG! My friend at work got that and she was sore for weeks. Not touching that one!!
Take Tylenol for the aches, cold pack for injection site and Benadryl for the crawly skin.
The missus is sensitive to any injections and this works for her.
FYI my pharmacist said never ever take two injections at one time wait two weeks between.
Feel better soon!!!
Not. Ever. Doing. That. Again. EVER!

Now, let me explain that this girl never had a flu shot before I immigrated here. They made me get one because my case was being adjudicated during the "flu season'. When I got here my new doctor highly recommended it, blah blah, so whatever. Then right as Covid hit, the mister nearly died from influenza A. Never seen him so sick before...so we get the shots through the VA.

I was fine until about two hours ago. I feel like I've been hit by a northbound moose (actually a train, but I thought moose sounded more dramatic ). My clothes hurt, my skin is crawling, and every square inch of me aches in ways I never dreamed of before.

So I told mister belladonna to kick me next time I get the bright idea to get two jabs in the same day. I have a short memory sometimes...
when it's time for me to get updated shots, i ask the doctor or pharmacist if it is "safe" to take multiple shots at the same time..9 out of 10 times, the answer is yes.

i hate to say this (but i will anyways), i have never had any adverse reactions to any shot, other than maybe a bit of a sore spot at the injection site.

many people do get slightly sick after a shot, but the general rule was to take an aspirin or Tylenol if it happens.

sorry to hear you got hit by a moose......., but next time, ask for the train, maybe it'll take you to Petticoat Junction...???

where you can meet Kate and Uncle Joe, and have a great time at the Shady Rest Hotel..???

I never got sick or anything from shots before, just maybe a sore arm. Thankfully this ridiculousness only lasted 24 hours!

This little whiz kid thought she was being so smart. Life has ramped up at Mach speeds here, and right around Christmas. What with dealing with my mom wanting to leave Canada and come back to live with us, my little brother leaving the house in TX and moving to FL so we have to sell the San Antonio house, and the mister changing jobs and looking at a knee replacement in the VERY near future, stuff has been backing up. Had to take my commuter vehicle in for an oil change, and my needles were overdue :cautious:.

We have to work mandatory OT on Fridays, but only 8 hours vs 10. So I thought I would kill a bunch of birds with one stone while in Fargo/Moorhead. So I had booked a flu shot and a Covid booster for the same day. Perfectly fine, they said.

Hope you feel better soon, my wife always gets like you after her flu shot, I usually have to get one every year due to my heart issue, but this year I had to pass due to my surgery date not known yet and I was told there has to be a 2 week difference between the shot and surgery, so I didn’t take any chances, I also don’t get any Covid boosters, feel well soon!

Felt the same way after my first 65+ flu shot. Pain at injection site, chills, aches, etc. It lasted 24 hours and then I felt fine. I’ve had that 65+ shot since with no problems, so I don’t worry anymore about getting it. I get the annual flu shots every mid October since the one time I didn’t get a shot, I got the flu in mid to late February. I’ve had all the vaccines (shingles, pneumonia, tetanus, etc.), and get a shot every 5-6 weeks with 3 different types of hornet venom (I’m allergic to their stings), so getting shots don’t bother me. I’m glad you’re doing a bit better now Bella.
