down to my last Springfield

While I RESPECT YOUR decision, full well knowing the ribbing you are about to receive for parting with things you dont need etc.

I could never part with my xds or my 1911s
the stag AR10, yes but not my pistols, it would be like loosing a fishing pole, or dog, or a wife
all four seem to run a cost of doing business as it were

I’m with you, Old_Me.

Unfortunately I am at a point where I tend to have to sell one if I want to buy another. So the ones that sit in the safe and don’t get used much get the boot. Plus limited space, it’s time to save for a bigger safe or a new house where I can build a gun room. Safe is a lot cheaper.

Also at a point where I don’t have any I am willing to part ways with anymore either. So new safe it is. Plus my state wants to impose an additional 11% tax (on top of the sales tax) so instead of saving I will be stocking ammo.

Well now that I think about it a new house in another state does sound sort of appealing.

there are "some" i hope to not sell, as they are either great shooters, or my favorites, or my ""firsts", such as my G-17 and CZ 75B.....i cannot let those 2 go..

my 1911's, right now, are the ones that i like very much, even the least expensive Remington R1S in SS....although the R1S was not my first 1911, (a blued one was), it represents to me, that first 1911 that i bought.....and regret selling it to my shooting buddy, that liked it more.......i shoulda told him to go and get one at the LGS.

it is also for me, to lessen the burden on the wife and sons to sell off what i have, including all my reloading stuff, and stored ammo as well.

they have "instructions" as to who to contact to sell those items, and were given a "price range" to get for all those items. they were told to be aware of "low balling" offers from Richard Craniums.

i don't want my wife to be screwed out of money....my kids, i could care less about that, as they have thier own money, and do not need to reap anymore from my death, as to take away from what the wife should reap.

i ain't "planning" on leaving this earth anytime too soon, but fact is i am older than God.........and death can happen to anyone, at anytime....

best for me to have a "plan" in place now.

however, if anyone is ever on a boat, and the sea, or lake..."parts", look for me in the boat next to you........maybe (like God) i have that power after all.....????
