i was told that wild turkeys have a "gamey taste"....?????
true..????
I've shot a 25# turkey (cleaned) for thanksgiving when I was 7 (I didn't eat it) and everyone else who ate didn't complain. It didn't smell gamey probably due to the amount of horse feed it got! Every morning 365 days a year they (turkeys) would chase the feed p/u for their breakfast.yeah, but what about gravy..?????

They do a little bit, but if you brine them for 24 hrs, they come out fantastic like a baked or smoked traditional turkey.yeah, but what about gravy..?????

Wild turkey is a million times better tasting than domestic, store bought turkey. And if you saw the conditions those turkeys were raised and transported in you would never eat another one.yeah, but what about gravy..?????
