Echelon Slide will not stay seated with Optic

Hey all, I recently bought the Echelon and am having some trouble keeping the optic plate that came with my Holosun HE509T X2. Here is the status of my issue thus far. Looking for any suggestions or ideas to help make it work.
-Echelon factory plate and screws removed.
-Holosun plate mounted with Holosun screws.
-HolosunScrews too long and failing to tighten onto slide of Echelon.
-Holosun screws grinded down, loc-tited, optic mounted. Took gun home, round wont chamber because screws are still too long and jam extractor spring.
-Screws from Echelon factory plate used to mount Holosun Optic plate. Used loc-tite, optic mounted.
-Factory plate screws backed out of Holosun mounting plate during range use.

Back to square one. Would appreciate any innovative ideas as well!

Isn’t the big thing about the Echelon is that it doesn’t need a mounting plate?
I think thats only for optics that mount to the slilde directly. I think Old man up there figured it out. The optic im trying to put on is the right footprint but not compatible because of the plate. I will have to do some Jimmy rigging to get it to work I think.

Yea, no plates are needed for the Echleon, just the pins that come with it

Just buy a 507K. What’s the point of buying a gun that’s built to mount direct and then half-@$$ing a compromise set up that’s going to defeat the point of direct mount?

Not to mention the 509T is fugly. IMO, closed emitter pistol red dots are overrated, but hey they look tacticool.

You just need smaller screws
See the shorter screw Springfield inc in their screw kit.

I had to do something similar to mount the Viridian RX45 that uses the acro footprint. The optic comes with an RMR to ACRO ada plate. Springfield also makes an RMR to ACRO plate. The adapter plate is so thin that that you need short short RMR screws.

I enjoy the Holosun optics and the multi reticle feature is really nice depending on what kind of shooting your doing. I have the sig romeo2 with the full mailbox look and I just like how it looks. Thank god you dont have to shoot my gun huh!😁

I like Holosun optics too, they’re pretty bullet proof. As I said, I’m not a fan of the closed emitters but give me time, I’ll find an excuse to buy one and then I’ll be telling everyone how 2022 open emitters are. 😎🤪

I like them a lot on ARs. I haven't seen any on handguns that didn't look entirely out of place, too big and bulky. On a CC pistol the advantage of a closed emitter is mitigated by the severe disadvantage of it's size. And frankly the advantage isn't much of an advantage unless you get in a gunfight in a severe thunderstorm.

Exactly. I’m thinking of trying one out on one of my AP5s, but I really prefer a microprism for that.

The issue with that is the Aimpoint Acro, Steiner MPS, and the Holosun 509T have proprietary mounting. They're kinda like a Picatinny system that tightens from the sides but with just one crossbar. Springfield offers their adapter plate for the Acro on their site but not one for the 509T. Holosun for some strange reason keeps trying to be difficult/different.

Here's the adapter plate for the Acro just to show the reason why it's not direct mount. -

My 509T came with an adaptor plate and then someone above recommended the screw set to make it work! Glad I didn't buy an Optic for nothing! Lol
