Any 9mm 1911 magazines will fit, doesn’t have to be Springfield ones.

Springfield CS can help with confusion on what mags will work in your specific handgun. I agree the description on their website is difficult to understand on what to order.

Yea, yours is basically a commander style 1911, so any 1911 mag will work, like @Keystone19250 said I to try to get factory mags if I can, but at times you can only get what you can find,

Except the Wilson Combat, Chip McCormick and Tripp mags I linked to are far superior to the ( Probably Mec Gar) factory mags SA ships with their 1911s.

I did snooping earlier and noticed that my mags for the RO Operator 9mm and the Kimber 9mm mags are identical, and my stainless Colt .45 mags are the same as the Kimber KimPro TAC-Mags are also identical……..

KImber mags are Mec Gar. I actually have a couple KImber 1911 mags. They work fine.

I bought Wilson Combat mags. They do not fit the Emissary. There is a small tab in the front of the base plate that will not allow the mag to lock into the mag well.
