Factory Ammo vs. Reloads: Which Is Best?

I used to buy reloads from a reputable company near me.
Problem is when reloading supplies got scarce he stopped selling to the public in order to fulfill the agreements with local police departments range ammo.
If these police departments trust his reloads, so do I.

the one issue i had with the mom/pop fishing bait/gun store reloads was that when the components shortages hit, he was using harder primers, maybe for rifles or other types of reloads that use them, over say pistol calibers..???

i had to return 3 boxes...this actually pushed me into reloading shortly after.
