I was aware of the FBI tests when I switched everything over to HST. Nevertheless I did my own unscientific tests in the back yard with a treated 4x4 I drove into the ground. It took 7 rounds fired off hand from 15 yards out of an XD Mod 2 4" .45 to cut it completely in half. Probably could have done it in 4 or 5 if I was a better shot. ;-)
