An interesting recently released dual caliber rifle made in Finland, similar to an AR. Uses some of same parts as an AR does.

Ensio FireArms KAR-21 rifle has a multi-caliber design allowing to change the caliber from .223 Rem to .308 Win by swapping the barrel, bolt and magwell.

Colt had an AR (901) that could be switched from .308 to .223; just swap uppers (there might have been a mag well adapter as well).

May be fine for military applications.

I would have no use for it unless I just wanted every toy on the market.

Frankly, I'm rather weary of the firearms industry doing what so many manufacturers do,
that is developing some new tweak every day as the fashion or electronics companies do
just to offer the insatiable public a new gadget.
