On my XDm compact 3.8 .45acp. the factory roll pin had been bent enough from dry firing that it could have failed. I bought a much stronger "performance" roll pin to replace it. It was a pita to get out. I had read where there was a concern with the factory firing pin stop breaking. Even though it was pretty straight when punched through you could see fractures and a dent from the firing pin impact. It was close to failure.
Comparing the factory vs the new was night and day. The new was a much heavier better made roll pin. It went in tight but no problems. I do plan on also buying a machined titanium "performance" firing pin from the same company when back in stock.
Anyone else replaced the firing pin on their XD's with titanium firing pin?
