First Post

My mom and stepdad lived in San Antonio for nearly 40 years. I spent many springs (and the odd summer) with them My stepdad retired there from USAF. His story is awesome, but that's for another time. We used to go up into the hill country quite often. I miss Texas..
the hill country is a beautiful place! traveling thru that area when my son was in college at san marcos. now my daughter (senior) wants to go there also. 500 miles from doorstep to doorstep when going thru fredericksburg across to phillips then in.

Welcome to the forum from west central Minnesota. There’s lots of great people here with lots of knowledge and questionable senses of humor 😉. Don’t be shy.
I remember reading about the Great West Central/ East Western Minnesota Border War which was fought over ownership of the Beef Tater-Tot Hotdish. Apparently, Jesper Henson of East Western Minnesota claimed to have invented the delicacy, while Thorfinn Jonnson of West Central Minnesota laid claim. The border wars carried on for three years before it was discovered that Henson and Jonnson were cousins and had murdered a Canadian from Thunder Bay by the name of Irish Bill Mahon and lifted the recipe from him. As an act of conciliation the two regions were renamed Winnipeg South hence the maps we have today. Jonnson and Henson would both go on to claim they invented poutine while serving time for Irish Bill’s murder.

What I like so far about this forum is that you can't say the members aren't active.

I hate a forum that people aren't active or don't participate.
Also as you may have noticed if you have perused other posts... on any given thread / OP, you may get two good pages, if you are lucky, before we all go right the hellz off the rails... after that it is open season as far as topics or replies, you are then just as likely to get a meme or a Hi-Point reference as you are an answer.

Enjoy

Hi,

I joined last year but just now posting for the first time.

I love Springfield and plan on adding at least 3 to my arsenal this year.

So I thought it was time to join the conversation.

Thanks for having me.

Sorry, you snuck in and I didn't see you. Welcome to the forum from yours truly, the Old Noob. Although, I'm not really so "noob" any more, but I'm definitely "old".

I'm a Springfield fanboy myself. Sure, I have a few others but mostly SA stuff.

XD9 Service
XD9 Mod.3 w/Holosun
XD45 Tactical
XD-M Elite 5.25
Garrison 1911 .45ACP
Saint Victor 5.56

Seems I have one or two more SA units but I can't remember. Does that mean I have too many guns?

Do you like...

Thank you for your indulgence,
