If you live in a part of the country that goes below freezing, consistently, and you have a bed bug problem you can kill them by putting the infested items outside. Bed bugs will be killed by freezing temps, then clean the furniture. So put furniture outside & bomb the rest of the place thoroughly.

If theres a good amount of snow you're better off making a big pile and digging into it to make a shelter. Snow is an oddly good insulator and you'll be warmer in a snow cave than a tent if you have a decent mat under you.
