You mean a GP-38, or Browning Hi Power? It's not a 1911, but JMB did have a hand in it's earlier design.

I’ve got a couple; they’re some of the best 9mm's made.

OK ..in ww2 the Nazi's occupied Belgium and the FN munitions plant who had acquired the Browning patten,,,My Dad was in US Army that drove Nazis out...
he and some Belgium resistence hunted down and captured a german SS officer and relieved him of this 9mm Browning firearm,,That is how he acquired it..and other bounty..that I now posses...

Does it have the waffenamts (Nazi acceptance marks)? So marked GP-35’s (typo in my earlier post) are few and far between...pretty neat story on how you got yours.
