Got to fondle/check-out the new FNH "High-Power" at a LGS today.
Just a reminder this is a totally new pistol regardless of FNHs' Jedi mind-trick by naming it similarly to the original Browning/FN "Hi-Power" that we all know & love. Also, the only thing the two pistols have in common is the 9mm chambering.
My observations are...
#1 - It's a solid, all metal gun that feels heavier than the original.
#2 - The grip is thicker than the original, and doesn't feel as nice as the original.
#3 - the slide is beefier than the original.
#4 - On the outside there's faint similarities to the original in the overall outline, the slide release and muzzle area.
#5- The trigger pull is very nice & better than a "stock" BHP that still has the magazine disconnect.
Overall it looks like the originals' 3rd or 4th cousin.
My LGS had it for $1,099.
