Glock 17, 4th gen 10 rd mags..????

ok, was at the small LGS to get my reloaded .45 ACP ammo this morning.

he had 2 Glock 17's, 4th gen each. (i have one myself, got it back in 2020, 3- 17 rnd mags)

each one HAD 10 rnd mags..??

like WTF i asked, they come with 17 rnd mags, are those CA models?

guy says no, they are shipping the 10 rnd mags, cuz they don't have 17 one's at the factory?


the guy never BS'd me before, and when he does get spare mags in his store, they go out faster than they came in....

what some of you say..?? (i never checked the label on the cases to see if they were CA guns or not)

Could be.

They do have 10rd models for other states with mag cap limits besides CA (MD, CO, NY, MA(?), off the top of my head…).

Or it could be those were the only models he could get.

Guess it wouldn’t worry me, much—there’s many good aftermarket mag choices for Glocks out there, and they aren’t hard to find nor expensive, either.

I wouldn't know how to check if it was a state restricted compliant model.

Easiest way to find out is check Glock online store to see if the 17 round mags are available or call them.

yeah, i'm all set. i had gotten mine (G-17 Gen 4) back in 2020

as i said, it was unusual for him to be selling a Glock 17, with 10 round mags, instead of the usual 17 rnds..

as my state has no mag capacity limits.

he said, he was told the factory did not have the 17 rnd mags for shipping.

I SAID.....I HAVE A GLOCK 17, I GOT IT BACK IN 2020, AND IT CAME WITH 3, 17 round magazines.

I WAS ASKING IF ANY OF YOU HEARD, A LGS, SELLING A NEW GLOCK, THAT NORMALLY COMES WITH LARGE CAPACITY MAGS, TELLING YOU THAT HE WAS TOLD, THAT GLOCK RAN OUT OF MAGS AT THE FACTORY, AND THAT GLOCK IS SUBSTITUTING THE SMALLER CAPACITY MAGS IN THIER PLACE....

DO YA'S HEAR ME NOW..>????

it was so simple a set up and question(s), even a caveman could have answered it.....
