Good Guns Made Better

When I disassemble I put parts down in way that I know what goes back in in a certain order.

Plus I've found that tasks can be made a lot simpler with certain special tools.
This is a great topic @Talyn have you thought about starting a thread with this subject? I'm sure we could all gain some valuable tips for working on our guns.

Brownells is a great source of tools.

While they have a website of course, I like the good old hardcopy cateloge since they have all their stuff indexed so one just has to go to that section.

Plus at times I've stumbled on tools that others have made/offer.

Some are expensive, especially if you need something for a specific task one doesn'y/won't do more than once/or often.

But they can prevent ALOT of frustration and profanity when trying to do something tricky.

Just about all of them could be better. Except high end custom 1911s maybe. Some of those are perfect.
Kel Tec KSG 25 would be better if they did a little more polishing ( or didn’t get the Parkerized finish in the bore) and made the lips on the feed tubes rounder and smoother. Those two things there would eliminate all the problems people have had with double feeds, FTF, etc.

All the Shields could have better triggers and nicer sights.
No real complaints with the XD Mod 2 service .45. The Walther Q5 Match is great. Should come standard with the 17rd. Mags.

Kinda a tricky topic. I really like Glocks but they are so dedicated to the Mil/LE that the biggest improvement was the Gen5 which wasn’t a YUUGGEE improvement if you ask me. You have Walther and Springfield for example that makes a “competition” ready gun. Yes I am well aware of the G34/35 but without you adding base plates getting lightning cuts a better trigger/sights it, to me doesn’t compare to the Walther or the new Springfield. Be nice to see them make somewhat of a Race Ready pistol.
