Guess who now owns a freakin artillery cannon?

Oh I forgot to mention this is the funny part, I bought it off of Facebook marketplace, it was listed as a Yard Ornament. I have found quite a few interesting things on marketplace. The Algorithm knows exactly what to show me: jeep parts and accessories, Polaris Ranger and RZR accessories, 2A stuff (even though forbidden), Off road stuff etc.

I didn’t think something like that was even allowed on FB.

Those old guns are cool. Years ago at a reenactment I was at they had a “live fire” artillery shoot. 4 guns, shooting down the lanes of an orchard at targets 300 yards away. Beyond the orchard was a heavily forested valley. Target was a 3’ red circle on cardboard. Each gun had one “slighting” shot, then five for “effect (scoring). One unit (1st Missouri Light) hit the target on their sighting shot (6 lb smooth bore Napoleon). After their 3rd round the target was gone. I was very Impressed with the accuracy shown. I was even more impressed with the incredible amount of damage done to BIG trees in the forest beyond the range-trees 1 /2 foot in diameter sheared off when hit😳. Impressive stuff! Definitely good for keeping the riffraff off the lawn🙄
