Gun Range Etiquette: Simple Steps to Safe Shooting

My club has been mostly empty (no ammo). Prior to the pandemic, I think I have been there once when there hasnt been multiple people there. Not there to socialize, just to pay attention to what I am doing. We have electronic key card access to both ranges (indoor and outdoor) so they know who is there and when. There are cameras everywhere. They have your car, they have your plates, everything is monitored inside and out. This is all fully disclosed when you join. If you are not doing anything wrong, there is never a problem.

There's a spiral notebook on the desk when you walk into the lodge. You put the date, time and your name when you are heading back to the ranges. Then stop on the way out and put the time again. It's not unusual for me to sign in having been the last person to sign in/out previously. The old men always offer me coffee and a game of cards.

Sounds nice!

It is nice.
That's great. Sounds like a nice and relaxed environment. Unfortunately with about 5K members, we have a greater risk of knuckleheads. There has been more than a few occasions when they have busted members for being destructive, horsing around and for not using what is between their ears.

Do you remember the episode where Grady is growing " Parsley". Turns out it was weed. Rollo offered to burn it for him. :ROFLMAO:
