Gun Sales Dropping?

Momentum may be down from the absurdities, but the absurd isn't over yet.

Saint Edge PDW's average 2500 price tags online, Saint Edge Evacs are going for up 3k in listings.

M&P 15 Sport 2's with modest upgrades are still hoodwinking first time buyers for 1500 plus on Gunbroker, down from the 2500 to 3000 they fetched in January.
Those prices are insane!!!

I've seen M&P-15s in my area selling consistently for $700 and under these past few months. My LGS has had a consistent supply of Springfield AR's also in stock for under msrp.

I don't even entertain gunbroker anymore myself because of all the unreal pricing on there.

Yep, I think people know or are told M&P is a solid and reliable rifle, and it certainly is, then they see cool pictures and the panic demand for it and they think that must be what they need.

It's a great rifle for $800 tops, you can turn it into a 2k gun, but you shouldn't be paying that for it as is.

Once Biden is gone, unless inflation strikes, the M&P Sport 2 will be $600, which makes it just about the best budget off the rack rifle there is, but if you're paying premium prices for the best mass produced budget rifle then you're glib.

While it's good we have this discussion the fact remains that the information that gets read the most is the information more people tend to believe to be true. My other point is as a Virginia resident if I decide to start selling guns from my collection all of my sales would have to go through an FFL for a NICS background check. I doubt that these would be included as new sales sold to new gun owners. I wonder if the Feds can tell the difference between a sale or a transfer when background checks are run?

Well they will certainly be able to tell you're not a FFL holder. I'm curious, how is the state of Virginia enforcing this law? Are you guys required to register all your firearms with the state now?

Well one has to go through an FFL to do the background check. As of yet Virginians are not required to register firearms with the state. But we all know that gun registration is in the pipeline. Rumor is our governor, Wrecken Ralph, may call the General Assembly back into a special session during the summer. We are waiting to see if more gun bills will be on the agenda. If you will go to the VCLD web page and click on VA-ALERT you can sign for updates. As you can see from the pictures and information we have been busy the last 2 years here in Va. Our General Assembly is up for re-election in November and we are hoping to take back the House of Delegates and State Senate. I think that the Dems may be worried.

Are the DC suburbs in Northern Virginia just full of so many Swamp things that they've overwhelmed the native Virginians?

How did that happen so fast?

Yes, Northern Virginia is packed full of progressives. Apparently when Bush was President the gov't workforce grew significantly, and like other areas of the country our demographics have changed. When you lump all of the Dems in Northern Virginia, Richmond and the tidewater area they can almost out vote the rest of the state. Federal judges redrew voting district lines which have given the Dems an edge and many Assembly seats were flipped in 2019. Couple that with the dysfunctional Va. Republican Party and it's hard to gain any traction. Hopefully the Trump bashers will regain their senses and vote for more conservatives in November. Thanks for asking.

"...Hopefully the Trump bashers will regain their senses..."

We can all hope that happens, but the saying "You can't fix stupid" comes to mind.
Or, the one I like, "they're ate-up with the dumba$$".

You can add Montgomery County, MD, to the state-changing demographic lists. That, and Baltimore, have flipped MD to the Left even though we have a RINO governor (for now). Montgomery Co. is also a "sanctuary" county, if that tells you anything.

Long as I can get my wear-and-carry renewed in Sept.....
