We hope that Virginia's current Red Flag law can be repealed or amended now that conservatives have more control here. To paraphrase Clemenza, leave the gun and take the person. To me it makes no common sense for authorities to leave a person who they consider a threat loose in the community after LE carries off all of the individuals guns that they can find. That individual is still free to retaliate if he or she is so inclined. If the individual is served with a TDO, LE can complete a threat assessment, the individual gets a psych eval, and then gets a hearing with a judge within 48 hours that can determine the next course of action. Also the person who alerts LE should be subject to legal consequences should it be found that the complaint had no factual basis.

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

Mine as well. They go so far as to write back and tell me how they are in a better position to understand more clearly than I.
I bite my tongue, if I said what I wanted well.... I'd need bail money.

Gun bills are like picking up a new date at the bar. Lets try any line possible to get this person(bill) past the BS to be with me and passed the sniff test.

Let them introduce any bill they want. They do it with every subject matter known to man.

I stated on another thread. Until the opposers challenge every law change that violates existing law and The Constitution, they will try to pass anything that will stick.
