Hand Guard upgrade/replacement for new Saint Victor .308 16" barrel

Hello. Just bought the Saint Victor 308. Looking to upgrade the hand guard [handguard].
Question #1: I assume I need a DPMS (not Armalite) compatible handguard - correct?
Question #2: To match up with the height of the factory Picatinny rail, do I need a low profile or high profile handguard replacement?

Thanks for your help!

Barrel nut threads are different on dpms and armalite and the tang height for dpms is .210" for high I believe. Not familiar with SA AR guns. Their barrel nut might be proprietary? Regardless of how the receivers are cut (dpms or armalite) there can be a compactable armalite cut and be dpms.

Hey All - in case anyone cares - received this response from Springfield C/S:

Good morning,

1: yes, it is DPMS.
2: low profile is what you would need.

One of my rifles has a Troy BRD; another a DD Lite (or maybe Omega; can’t recall).

Both have been on my rifles for well over 10 years; neither rifle is a Saint (both Colts), nor are they .308’s.

My .308 AR, a PSA, has a Magpul handguard.

The sentiment still applies, however.

1. Yep, you’ll need a DPMS-compatible handguard for the Saint Victor.
2. It’s low profile to match the factory rail height—stick with that for the best fit.
