yeah, this is the weekend i set up a new flag and flower pot. i have to remove it after the Veteran's Day weekend, since the winter storms destroy them.
well i did what i said i was going to do, put a flag and flower pot on the grandparents grave.

however......i was lost..??

like WTF, i knew exactly where the grave was...

at the intersection of the back road in the cemetery, go 4 tree's, and there it is.

well....i went 3 tree's,......... the 4th was missing...??

i'm like, "what da hell"..??? (i was also rushed to get things done today)

where's that 4th tree....???

i backed up, counted the tree's again...

doh...the tree stump WAS the 4th tree........

bastoidavitches.......cut down my marker tree.......

now when i go, it's 3 tree's and a stump..........

not too many graves had flags as of today, usually there are many, and the flags stay there a long time, like mine does.

maybe they others will come.

vets scattered all through out that cemetery, unlike a Vet's cemetery.

i just did a quick google search.

apparently, the Vets cemetery in my state opened in 1974, which would explain why at the cemetery my family is buried in, has Vets scattered all about.

family graves with thier service member buried with them. or husband/wife grave sites ( as in the case of my WWI Vet gran dad and my gran-mom).

how about where you guys live..??

Vets cemetery there, or not..????

my state, being small, we only have the one.

some of you in larger states, you have more than one Vets cemetery..???

@Wirenut

i take it, that these structures are for the cremated remains..?

we have something like that here at the "local" cemetery, it's just different looking, and also, many "spaces" are big enough to fit full sizes caskets. it's more of a covered "wall" structure.

they call it a "mausoleum"..
