Happy Thanksgiving everyone!!!

Had high hopes for a nice Thanksgiving. My 46 year old Daughter lives in Dripping Springs a few miles out of Austin. I love her very much but she is a ultra far left progressive democrat. We decided years ago to not discuss politics when she comes home. Out of the blue she started ranting, raving how the country was about to fall because Trump was elected. She went on to say husband and her were seriously considering moving to Denmark. Her New York raised husband is even worse. Thank goodness he didn't make the trip. Hopefully Thanksgiving dinner will go without a lot of bs.

I hope you and your wife have a great day. To me holidays are times to enjoy your family because in an instant things could change and trust me as years go on you want to have good memories. I hope your daughter understands this.

Just the ramblings of an old person: For over 40 years I spent Thanksgiving Day hunting at the family house in the mountains of western Va which now owns me. My lunch was always a cold ham and cheese sandwich followed up by a Little Debbie oatmeal cookie. The trees never talked to me so there was never any disagreements just beautiful scenery. All those folks I hunted with are gone now except for my youngest son, and sadly many of the folks I missed dinner with are gone as well including my wife. I do have regrets because of the memories I missed. So today I will enjoy visiting my mother in the nursing home and enjoy a Thanksgiving dinner with my new love and best friend. I have an awful lot to be thankful for. Everyone please have a great day and travel safely. God bless!

Hope everyone's Thanksgiving went well. These holidays can be tough especially if loved ones are no longer around. I want to believe that they are looking down and wanting us to enjoy and live life. Memories are what keep me going. I have been lucky to have a good life. Live life the best you can and be happy.
