I haven't been ammo hunting in a LGS in a few weeks, but I prowl on-line daily. Some stuff seems to be going down, but most of the stuff is staying close to the same. The problem with figuring ammo prices on-line is you have to factor in shipping costs, which for ammo usually isn't cheap. So it doesn't make fiscal sense to to buy online unless you are buying a lot. Most places cut you a break if you spend X amount. The places with free shipping always have higher prices.

That said, Bidenflation is bound to effect all consumer goods. At some point ammo prices are going to have to drop back down closer to normal, but I don't see it happening as long as grampa is in charge.

Maybe consumers are starting to burn through what was a limited supply. I haven't noticed increased prices at my LGS or the online places I frequent. I think the more popular rounds might still be ticking down.

as the others have said, most prices i am seeing, are going down, in fact eben up here, been on sale this past week. specific ammo like what you bought, i cannot say.

and a $20 increase is not........"slightly going up"...that to me a significant jump in price.

I have been hunting 45acp for weeks and usually walk out in disgust over the prices. It doesn't have to be this way. We are being taken advantage of. Hoarders buying everything in sight make it worse. I wish we could just get everyone to stop buying ammo all at once for a month so the warehouses fill up and the prices would come down.

I haven't seen much change in the past couple of months. I now get most of my ammo from Kir Ammo (www.kirammo.com), and the current prices on 9mm FMJ are within a fraction of a cent of what I paid back in mid-July. Kir mostly sells mail order, but they are just down the street, so I can pick up instead of paying freight. However, because I live in Texas I do have to pay sales tax.

Does anyone actually know if you can shoot hard cast bullets in a ported barrel? I was lead to believe it wasn’t a good thing, a email to Taurus didn’t help on my question, got a bunch of this and that reply back…..🤔🤔🤔🤔

"if it doesn't fit, you must acquit"

oh wait, the wrong thread

i got this from another website.....

I don't think my problems are with the lead bullets themself, my problem is with the soot from the lube. I have not had any problems with the ports clogging, though i have only put 20 rounds through it since im still doing a load work up. The main problem is the dot on the front sight post becoming black within a few shots. I guess this is something i will deal with until all the lead is gone then i will try plated since there is no lube involved.'
