Heart surgery

Friday I will be having heart surgery. I have been having issues for a while and nobody took them seriously until yesterday. I do not feel good about this but this is something that has to be done NOW. If I make it thru surgery I will then search for a new doctor which will be at least 80 miles away from home . This is why I can't go searching for a new one now. Sucks that you almost have to drop dead before anyone does anything for you. I have never been more disgusted with the medical care I have been given. I guess that's what I get for for 23 years of military service. Nobody appreciates the sacrifices veterans made for the country. Want to thank everyone here for making me welcome and part of the group. I realize no-one lives for ever but wish it would have been on my terms, not a surgeons. Thank you for making me part of the Armorylife family. John

We will be praying for you brother John. When, not if, you get thru this challenge you find someone that treats you like the national treasure you are, all our vets are in our opinion.

Stay strong and stay positive. We got your back in prayer...

so sorry to hear this.

things will work out fine, and you will be up and running again soon.

prayers and best wishes for you, and the family, and take what ever time you need to get better.

Good luck to you John. Like others have said, these types of surgeries have come a long way from what they were in the past. I wouldn‘t be surprised if they have you up and walking shortly after the procedure. After you recover, it will be a bummer that you will have to travel that far for better medical treatment, but remember, your health come first, so you need to do what must be done. Coming from a family and with friends, that were in the military, I appreciate your service and what you’ve done for us and the country. I’m sure we’ll be seeing you back here soon complaining about the nurses and hospital food and the like. Keep the faith buddy, we’re all thinking and praying for you and your speedy recovery.

Good luck to you sir.
I had Quadruple Bypass Surgery back in 2017.
One day at a time. Don't let the bad days get you down because you'll have lots of good days.
Use the chest pillow they'll provide for you and have one handy because coughing after heart surgery takes on a whole new level of pain for some patients.
Go easy and take your time recovering.
God Bless You and Your family.
Thank you for your military service.
Frank (USMC '76-'79)
