Hellcat and flat nose bullets or hard cast?

Bought some 147gr American eagle flat nosed ammo...ok in the hellcat? Also, was considering buffalo bore hard cast ammo 9mm outdoors. Is hard cast OK in the hellcat?

They should be. You'll have to find out of your gun likes it or not, of course.

When you think about it, a flat nose generally has a similar profile to a JHP, so...shouldn’t be an issue.

Hard cast should also run fine.

Keep in mind like with Buffalo Bore ammo, higher pressures usually and can mean quicker degradation of firearm.

Here's an interesting video about 10,000 rounds of +P ammo shot through a Hellcat that may interest you?

First off, you should be changing out your springs at 5k rounds, at the top end…likely lower with a smaller pistol, 2-3k. So hopefully that test had at least 1 new set of springs, if not 3-4.

Also, nobody runs exclusively +P through their compact carry pistol. The “quicker degradation” line is pretty much nonexistent for people who shoot a box or two through their firearm…

There was a review on Midwayusa or Buffalo bore from a hellcat owner who said he had no probs but wanted to check here. Yeah, it would be very minimal with the Buffalo bore as that stuff is stupid expensive. Prob a mag or 2 to test and carry on hiking trips. I'm guessing the flat nose will be fine... Again... Just wanted to see if others have ran it through their gun
