Hellcat RDP - optic not mounted and wrong screws

I finally found and purchased an RDP yesterday from one of my local firearm dealers. To say I was excited is an understatement... that is until I got home. The optic was not mounted on the firearm when I picked up, which I thought was odd since everything I've read says they come mounted and zeroed! But, installing an optic is no big deal and something I've done a 100 times! I assume Springfield is busy pushing them out as fast as they can maybe to save time, did not mount the optic.

Here is the issue, the screws that came with it ARE THE WRONG SIZE and not long enough. It comes with a set of screws that attaches the OPS plate and they can't be used (too short) so in the pack, they send another set of "longer" screws to mount the optic. They sent the wrong ones (should have been M4 screws and they sent M3 screws). Has anyone else had this issue?

It happens at times, especially now with all the panic buying going on and the rush to get more firearms out, I would just get ahold of Springfield’s customer service and tell them your issue, they will correct it for you.

Okay so I wouldn’t put the blame on Springfield here. The Hellcat RDP does come with it mounted on the pistol. The issue I believe is that some FFL’s remove certain things off the pistols to sale them separately. Sad that this happens but it’s true. So what I’m thinking happened is that they removed it but when you wanted the package they put it back in the box with the hardware they thought it came with. I’d suggest you contact Springfield Armory Customer Service I’ll post their contact information below. They are awesome group of people and they can/will fix the situation for you.

Springfield Armory’s customer service representatives can answer your questions/concerns Monday through Friday 8:30 to 4:30 CST via phone at 1-800-680-6866, International: +1-309-944-5631 or email at sales@springfield-armory.com.

Thanks for the replies guys! I talked to Springfield Customer Service today and they confirmed that they have been shipping them without the optic mounted and that some were also sent with the wrong screws. The lady said new screws would be in the mail today, so hopefully I'll get them by the end of the week!

Thanks again for the replies!!
