šŸšØHelp Screwed Prodigy šŸšØ

TTGChas

Alpha
Close to 2k rounds and the screw set that holds the trigger guard to the lower frame has left the chat šŸ’¬

(Where do I get new ones?)

Now I know this would be covered under warranty and Iā€™d 100% go that route BUTā€¦ Iā€™ve heard they are not the fastest turn around to get me this thing back and Iā€™ve got less then 3wks before TTG Nationals in Tx and need to train and prepare for that competition .

Where can I find these parts ?

Call Springfield in the morning, I had the grip screw on one side of the grip fall out and didn't notice it till I got back from the range. Called them up and they shipped one out to me, got here in like 3 days.
Thatā€™s exactly what happened to mine !

I was shooting steel for 2hrs , went thru 250rds come home clean it and find half the screw set falling out.

Thanks Guys for the quick response! Feel better about the situation now !

Sad that you spend good money and have these issues , but having a good forum to share experience makes it more bearable!

The same screw that works for Staccato or any 2011 would work, you need

Trigger Guard screws and the trigger guard sleeve (I can't tell if the sleeve fell out on your picture) Either way these screws are known to work loose so its good practice to have a couple extra. Read the reviews on Dawson to see you are not the first and won't be the last.

(with Dawson you can call in an order to expedite)

This place calls them front grip screws and busing

This is good to know I was on Atlasā€™ site last night but wasnā€™t sure their set would fit . Thanks for chiming in with good info !

Called them this morning and after 3rd attempt got them shipped out ! Should be here before Friday šŸ¤˜šŸ»šŸ‡ŗšŸ‡ø

FYI theyā€™re gonna need your SN if you call šŸ˜‰
I registered with them when I got the pistol but apparently thatā€™s not good enuff SN is required they claim to ā€œnot holdā€ SN in your file šŸ¤·šŸ¼ā€ā™‚ļø

If that is the only problem you are having with Prodigy, consider yourself lucky. My 5" has been a nightmare.

If that is the only problem you are having with the Prodigy, you are one of the lucky ones. My 5" Prodigy with May 2024 production date has been a nightmare. Optics plate (a14b for SRO) comes loose every 100 rounds or so. Has been back to factory for that issue. They replaced slide, new screws, new plate. 6 weeks later I got it back. Worked great for about 130 rounds or so. At range Saturday first mag, plate is loose and now have hammer follow. Multiple shots fired with one trigger press. Over the 1921 DS prodigy.

1911 DS Prodigy, sorry for the typo but I get aggravated talking about that thing.

You wanna for a 5in Ronin with 25 rds through it?
VERY nterested in that. We can talk when it gets back from SA,they need to solve hammer follow issue. have the two original mags 17 and 20 plus two brand new 20 round mags, two a14b optic plates, original iron site plate and more. SRO not included.
