i'm a grand parent, and i can assure everyone what i say and think right now.
i was taught about WWI, and WWII and the Korean war, and others...
was taught about the Ming Dynasty, and the Great Wall of China.
was taught about the great depression and the "dust bowl"
many years ago, at the barbershop i went to, he had dozens of retired teachers, history, social studies, science, math, etc.
i asked "why don't the schools teach history the way i was taught, you was taught..??
the answer i always got was, "the school committee agreed that it's too old and there are *newer things* to teach"
i was like...."uh...history IS about old things".........about the wars, the atrocities, the outcomes.....
they shrugged thier shoulders and said, "it's what we have to teach nowadays" ..."new, old stuff"........"they school committee doesn't want the kids to know about wars, and the outcomes"

Old Me: I got my Bachelor of Science in 1976, and IMHO it's almost as good as my Dad's 1949 HS Diploma.
My idiot racist stepson got his PHD a couple years ago (in what, I don't care enough to remember, and his mother apparently can't remember either ["Philosophy or something, I dunno"], but no doubt something useless) and I consider it nowhere near my BS. And so goes the devolution of our education system.
This is no wonder when you realize that 90+% of our "teachers" at every level are the victims of professional incest--they have never been outside "the system," and were trained by people who have never been outside the system, who were in trained by...well, you get the idea. Most of our "educators" are the product of at least five or six "generations" of such professional incest--probably a few more than that.

or teaching them that being transgender IS ok, cuz it's not ok... especially at the grade school level..
my "belief" is that once a person reaches the legal age of 21 (or 18 in some states), and MOVES OUT of the house..?
then do as you wish. not to be taught such BS in any public, or private school system..!!!!!
