How to remove base plate from SA-XD Subcompact 10 rd .40 extended mag?

Hello, I have a few of these magazines, but for the life of me I cannot get the base plates off of any of them, even when pressing the button down the way I do on other magazines. Does anyone have any tips or videos to show how to do this? Thank you!

is there a button or hole on the bottom? if so, push up on it as it keeps the base locked. also as you do that us a screwdriver/punch to push the base the direction needed to be removed.

you might need to push the button in further than you think to remove it. make sure the mag is empty and the follower is at the feedlips/top. push forward away from the witness holes/round count.

I'm pushing it as far as it will go with a tool that is almost as long as the mag itself, and still no luck. The mag is empty. I made a little video of what I have been doing to show it better. Any other suggestions?

I don't have any compacts, but I'll catheter xdm's i have. The complete black part should come off in 1 piece. Probably just extra stuck on? I've had some m/p mags that way. I can't post a video like you did, so I'll recheck.

I haven't been able to get them off any of the 3 mags I have like this, but if there's a resource to show how, I'd love to see it.

I'd wondered what it was, but then I catheterize people IRL, so I was like

Polymer extension collar just slides up and off the mag. There may be a lip on it that will not let the base plate slide off the bottom.
