James Reeves of TFBTV joins Matt Haught of Symtac Consulting to learn how to shoot a shotgun faster. using the “push-pull” technique, which is a method of handling and firing a shotgun that allows for faster shooting. Matt explains the push-pull technique in detail, with he and James demonstrating the technique with both the Beretta A300 Patrol and Beretta 1301 shotguns.

We taught a similar technique for officers wearing gas masks who could not get a cheek weld. The difference is the stock never touched the shoulder. I call it the thrust method. Push at the forearm, pull at the pistol grip, sight down the length of the gun. Works with pistol grip shotguns. A side benefit is it eliminates recoil, especially when you fire at the moment of full extension. Great for folks who have a shoulder injury or otherwise recoil sensitive. Takes some practice. Not good for rapid fire, though, especially with a pump gun, and not useful in competition.

The guy in the video is a machine!

Which guy ? Matt Haught ? His dad is Rob Haught, the shotgun guru.

James Reeves is a half retarded lawyer with a lot of cool guns. He's not bad with a shotgun, but he's not THAT impressive.
