I know, more cats

We just got a new cat about a month ago after having our put to sleep right after New Year's from unrecoverable heart and lung issues.
We're and I were just talking about getting her a friend. Ours have always been indoor cats, to many Yotes and snakes for her to go out View attachment 76099
I keep my cats inside. Outside cats means more stray cats. Between us and 2 of my neighbors we are already taking care of about 20 strays currently. Down from about 40 or 50.

Since weather was not very fair (freezing temps) we let this momma (Catness) cat inside to have her kittens. She has 6 (1 died) on the 11th. 4 looks like this 1 and 1 white kid.
Looks behaved  ;) 🤣

Are you planning on adopting them out once they’re weened? They are so freaking cute

Questions for cat owners?

How many have females and how many have males?

Asking because females in the house do fine and males can't help themselves on marking their territory. My cousin said that even after the males were neutered they still "spray and prey". My wife isn't much of a cat person, but they get her going "awe". There's 1 male cat (about a year and a half old) that she doesn't mind being in the house. The "spray and prey " part is what none of us like ir want! How to fix the issue.

Some do some don’t. If you neuter them young they won’t. My male was neutered at 6 and he doesn’t spray. My female was fixed at 6 mos.

Female, no issues

Well, we were excited to see a cat that we haven't seen in 9 months! He was last seen in June or early July. Snowball os back, but not sure for how long? Yes, this was at 3:40am. The waterwell shut off, so 2 of the kids went outside to thrn it back on and found him.

Not knowing how long a cats memory is, but he remembers use for sure!. Hoping he'll stay around, but he'll take off for another adventure I'm sure. We expected the worse for as many yotes we have near us. The last time he was skinny, but he was a chunk this time. Must've been eating really good!

It’s long brother. I had a cat once that routinely disappeared for 6 months at a time. Longest he was gone was almost two years.
