why exclude any service member?

case in point, the mass shooting in Maine was committed by an

Nope, don’t support any gun control laws aimed at former military or law enforcement, the way I look at it, they risked there lives to protect us, it’s the least that can be done for them, just my thoughts…..

Any firearm restrictions from state lawmakers should be "tested" by the state, county and local police for 2 years before being able to become law. If the legislation is from the Federal system it can be tested using the ATFnE, FBI, IRS etc for 2 years. May have to extend the trial period to 6 years because it will take a few years to comply 100% !!

The issue with that is, they're not criminals and would be more easily accepted with such laws! The red flag laws can help if the people are reported correctly to keep them from buying, but the rest of these gun laws only pertain to the lawful gun owners.
Why liberals cannot understand this is just crazy. Go after the criminals hard, and the great majority of the shootings will decrease. Leave the rest of us alone.

I agree with most of what you said. The part on people reporting folks for potential red flag law violations is a very slippery slope. I too, am proud to be a Texan.

The proposed law and my response have nothing to do with criminals and their actions, that's the point! When LEO's are out gunned because they have to follow the same 'laws' that the people do, the laws just might be rescinded. Or not enacted to begin with.
