wow....what can i say, MY student loan, which i paid off (for trucking school) at like $60 a month, for 3 years, is a possible forgiveness..??

does that mean i can sleep better nights, (or when i nap), knowing they took nearly 55 years to find this out..????

oh boy..imma gonna call that toll free number, and give'em my SS number to see if i qualify today...!!!!!!!!

Well....obviously a scam, they are looking for SSN, bank accounts and anything else they can trick folks into giving. You are too smart for any of that as are most of us. That being said - I paid my own way through college. Why do today's young folks assume I/we/you/all of us should pay for theirs? rhetorical question.

so my Bank of America, ATM debit card number of 9372 , wouldn't be needed..?????

I feel that they should forgive VA Home Loans for those that put their lives on the line instead of a bunch of mamby pamby know nothing kids.

working since 3rd grade got to where i paid in full each semester as not to have a student loan probably could make enough to pay for college at today's prices. my grandparents gave me some land to use for cattle. bought and sold when needed to keep it going. darn near lost all of them when at college on an april 1st blizzard. 240 head down to 183. fortunately, prices were going up as prices per # were within 3 cents of when bought. made enough to pay off the loan and enough for the next 2 semesters.

I just got the same message and same format!

If they want to do something about the cost of college they could start by totally cleaning house at Mohela. Most corrupt pile of shite on the planet. And lean on these universities to lower costs. My wife scholarshipped to a state university in Missouri. Full scholarship. We still ended up paying about 40k. Hell, parking on campus was about $800/semester. Lab fees, books, all that crap. For 4 years.

Damn Old_Me, you really are an old coot aren't you? You'd have to be with only a 4 digit number on your debit card...... OH wait, I get it, that's only the last four digits. Your card has a bunch more than that huh?

Here's a little tidbit of knowledge for you though ... the wife and I have been a member of our credit union so long our member number is only four digits ... true story! Whenever we have to go in eye to eye for something and they ask for our number, when we give them that four digit number they look at us like we've lost our mind, but then when they see the year we joined was the same year they opened, they just look at us and smile!!!

We moved my MIL out of her home to an assisted living facility a couple years ago.
When we closed the utility company account, they were shocked.
She had been in the same house and utility company since 1961

well here in RI, we revere low digits on our license plates, so much so, people offer huge amounts of money to those that have them......(true)

the only low digit anything i have is my ccw........which is # 8....now if i move to another town/city, i might just renew this ccw at the Prov. PD, and pay a fee above the $40 actual fee to keep it......(that fee can be at least $200 extra)

or, since it is due for renewal next June?

just stay put, as it very well may be my last renewal anyways.

my house has been in my family since 1946. built in 1860, using field stone for many parts of the foundation, which was normal for the time. here, all the utility companies have been upgraded or changed ownerships, that no account numbers are the old, as we were added to the other accounts they had.

here, assisted living or nursing homes grab you for at least $10,000 per month.....

i'd rather be dead than to let them suck the family dry.

a bed, 3 meals a day, some so-called nurses or CNA's on staff, a roving doctor that is there maybe once, twice a week, and you get the honor to pay for thier health benefits, vacations, perks, utility bills, property taxes, etc....

screw that shite

The whole “student loan” thing bugs me to death. #2 Granddaughter finished her batchelors a couple years ago-debt free. Between academic scholarships and working while attending school she graduated debt free. She told me “Granpa, some of my classmates have more than $250,000 in debt”. That’s just nuts! You start your adult life a quarter million in the whole (and many of them have degrees in basket weaving or similar high demand areas so they immediately wind up with careers asking “you want fries with that?”). To me, the states schools “should” be free to students with a high school gpa of “B” or better, and reasonably priced for any other kids that want to go. Also there needs to be a rebirth of technical schools (SOMEBODY has to actually “do” stuff!). I’ve got a nephew who’s a journeyman plumber (and runs a crew) who’s knocking down $130k yr. Two others, both “educated” are putzing around as a lawn worker and a gopher for a construction co. , and neither of them will make $50k this year (but they’ve both got student loans🙄)

I had one colleague a few years back still paying his loans off, TEN years later, he wouldn't disclose how much he went into debt to get his masters. It's been said before but, stupid should hurt.

It's to the point that I question emails even from the big companies before I click on anything now. Just Google the email subject and add scam and see what shows up.
