I Think I Created a Monster!

Ok guys, so in my previous post on the EDC forum, I stated that my wife and I got firearms and our CCW Permits. So at first my wife was deathly afraid of the Walther P22Q that I got her. But I explained all of the safety features on it (DA/SA, Safety, Mag Safety). After a day or so, she loves it. HOWEVER....Now she wants to buy more pistols...WHAT HAVE I DONE???!!!!!

Sir,nothing wrong with that embrace it,you have both found something to enjoy and build on,Kate was the same wasn't sure about firearms from the outset but a few months later got told off for not buying a gun,got put back in the car drove back and told to buy it,which is probably why anything she wants doing round the house gets done lol

Oh that's fine, I am glad she likes that we both have that in common....BUT....my paycheck will be Non-existent knowing her tastes. 😥

Go with the, “well, okay. But if you get one i get one too.”, approach.
No sweet names or sweet talk? might as well just get prepared to get yer ass beat after you go to sleep that night. might as well do what i do, just tell her i'm goin to buy a new gun and when she starts in, just hold the hand up and shout. Look, i had guns before we met and gonna have this new one after we met.

Of course that was my first wife...i learned a lot since then. 😁

Just a thought. Let her research firearms she thinks might be good for her. Just because you might think it might be the right choice for her, it very well might not be. Let her try out all her possible choices. Most popular firearm choices can be rented to try out. Certainly, try to give her good advice and guidance, just remember the firearm needs to work well for her, not you.

Yeah that is probably going to be the end result.
Hopefully you can frequent ranges that boast a rental program. That concept alone could/should save you thousands in the long run.
My range does have rentals, however they just started that program, and they don't have much to choose from, two Taurus revolvers, three pistols (all glocks), one AR, and one Lever action is what I saw so far.
