Hmmmm....that sounded strangely specific...If she likes DA/SA you definitely don’t want to show her a Sig 226 Legion. And if she thinks that’s too big you definitely don’t want to mention the 229 Legion! Now when she says “Am I Not Worth It?” you’re on your own.![]()
This sounds strangely familiar. My husband bought me my first pistol, my Walther PPK. It was all downhill (depending on your perspective) from there. I couldn’t get enough. I researched my face off, bought a couple 1911s after that. Then my Hellcat, after which all bets were off.Ok guys, so in my previous post on the EDC forum, I stated that my wife and I got firearms and our CCW Permits. So at first my wife was deathly afraid of the Walther P22Q that I got her. But I explained all of the safety features on it (DA/SA, Safety, Mag Safety). After a day or so, she loves it. HOWEVER....Now she wants to buy more pistols...WHAT HAVE I DONE???!!!!!![]()
I guess Walthers are a good first pistol for the wives. This sounds strangely familiar. My husband bought me my first pistol, my Walther PPK. In other words, he created a monster. Let’s just put it this way…he doesn’t question my firearm purchases and I don’t question his. I shoot a hell of a lot more often than he does.![]()
Oh I know...till I am broke and pennyless!She's a keeper!
Hey, be greatful she likes guns, my wife loves jewelry--- trust me guns are cheaper and you can use them also. Diamonds are a girls best friend but you look foolish if you wear them. We're retired now and she has gone from jewelry to guns. Now if I could just sell the jewelry to pay for the guns.Oh that's fine, I am glad she likes that we both have that in common....BUT....my paycheck will be Non-existent knowing her tastes.![]()

Does she have a sister?![]()
Just kidding. Mrs. BassCliff and I went to the range yesterday. She finally admitted her pistol sucks. Actually, it's just not left-hand friendly and she has a lot of trouble manipulating it. She agreed to try a few more to find one she likes and works for her. I may be buying another VP9.
Thank you for your indulgence,
BassCliff
My Dad's a bass player...not much of a ladies man to be honest. You ole dog you. you handsome bass players gots all the wimmins.
Just the hands on kind.Hmmmm....that sounded strangely specific...Is this from first hand experience?

yes, you "may have" created a monster...Ok guys, so in my previous post on the EDC forum, I stated that my wife and I got firearms and our CCW Permits. Very well said! Even though it wasn't until recently that I purchased my first pistol, I have been on the side of the second amendment since I was young. Everyone has the right to defend themselves. Also I grew up in an area with lots of hunters and sportsman clubs around me, so firearms aren't new to me, it just took a scary situation to want me to get some extra protection for my wife and I.yes, you "may have" created a monster...
but more importantly, you created a gun rights supporter.
she (as you) will learn, or continue to learn gun safety, cleaning, inspection, the different ammo that will not work in her/your guns, and possible parts replacements that don't need to be done by a smith
she (as you and the rest of us), will continue to learn to respect the gun, what it can do, what we can do with it, and learn self control as when to use it in a self defensive need, rather than to pull it out in a "heat of the moment" situation.
