More cries to "do something!" Yet the people wanting action fail to explain how any of their solutions will do anything to prevent criminals from committing crimes. The same illogical reasoning: the laws we have in place don't prevent crime, therefore the solution must be more laws, all the while failing to comprehend that criminals, by definition, don't obey the law.

BOOM DROP THE MIC!!!
The death penalty doesn't prevent murder, life in prison doesn't prevent a multitude of crimes. These (school shootings) are terrible tragedies! All of us here can agree on that. A vast amount of these people have some sort of mental mis-wiring to do these. Why little kids and schools are chosen is highly obvious, IT makes big waves in the media and society. These mental midgets want people to remember them and the notoriety of what they've done.

You are spot on when you mention the notoriety of their actions. If it were made clear to these miscreants that should you do this sort of thing, your name and photo will never be published, your dead carcass will be cremated with the ashes disposed of unceremoniously and no public memorial of any sort will be permitted, that may help some. Certainly more than restricting and confiscating firearms for the law abiding will.

It also explains for the shortage of drug store variety purple, pink and blue (hair) dye this week. Hoped to get enough on hand for the kids Easter eggs before the rush.
 
The solution is to keep the crazies out of schools, and arm those folks to whom we entrust our kids. Also, pickup areas need to be monitored closely by armed (concealed for the most part) teachers and parents. Just like it would be a mistake for someone to try to enter my house uninvited, entering a school or school grounds without an invite should also be met with overwhelming force. We are spending lots of money protecting our ineffective elected representatives. If that approach doesn’t work, why are we doing it that way? We owe it to the kids to protect them. What is wrong with people?!?!
