Iron Eagle: The Definitive Audit Of How Many Weapons Doug Masters Launched From His F-16

While heavily overshadowed by Top Gun, which was released in theaters just a few months later, Iron Eagle has become something of a cult classic. Its aerial sequences, far-fetched ‘80s action movie plot, fantastic soundtrack, and the fact that it’s stuffed full of movie tropes from that decade have kept it alive in popular culture.

However, the movie also draws the ire of some for its portrayal of its starring F-16s having what appears to be a never-ending supply of weapons.

even movies today regardless of cgi can get way off on capabilities. the 1st 2 IE's were fine for the day, but got bad after that. still 80's movies at its finest 🤣 . just finished "the brothers sun" and there were 4 or 5 jade dragon members watching "gmykata" as it was their favorite movie.

Always been Hollywood hokum. All us old guys remember those Single Action Army Colts that sometimes fired 17-24rounds without a reload (always wanted one of those high cap six shooters🙄)
