IRON SIGHTS

SA might know what the front site height is.
I know what the sight height is, .190. I e-mailed Springfield early this morning, waiting for a reply. This is really getting to be a pain the ass. I will not be using the Ronin for self or home defense. I simply wanted a different type of front sight.

BassBob I contacted Harrison Design and yes they do have tritium nights for SA 1911's. I don't want to be too picky but I was looking for an orange outlined tritium front sight, they don't have one.. I think I'm going drop my search for a night sight and just go with a plain post. I'm still waiting on a reply from Springfield. Thanks

Have you looked at TruGlo TFX Pros ?

I went on the XS website looking for "Big Dot" tritium front beads for my M500 with vent rib, and my M870 plain barrel. Spent a fair amount of time and failed to find what I'm looking for. I honestly don't know if they have what I want, or not.

I had a XS sight on a S&W Model 36, was my backup gun. Thankfully never had to use it. Shooting targets will be what I'll use the Ronin for and the XS sights probably wouldn't be too good for that. Thanks

I finally found the sight for the Ronin from Novaks. It's a tritium night sight with three choices of outline colors, white, orange & yellow. Thanks to all of you for your research and suggestions.

Dovetailed front sights is one of the best gun ideas I've ever seen. Unfortunately, nobody thought to standardize the damn dovetails, which means we now have several different dimensions and angles and so forth, and you have to be VERY careful to get the exact version that fits YOUR gun. Sigh.
