Is the Polymer Lower a Good Idea?

Good read for the AR builders out there, is a polymer lower a good ideal, for me, in a rifle, especially an AR, I still would prefer aluminum lower.

Thanks for posting Anni,
"I still would prefer aluminum lower." - Very much agreed

Aluminum lowers are a dime a dozen. Why would I ever want to go polymer?

With the polymer lower, I might save some money on the butt stock, grip and buffer tube, but at the same time I would be giving up the ability to choose which of those items i would prefer to have on my AR, which is the #1 reason to have a modern AR-15... Choices

I have a friend who did a poly lower build. It feels noticeably lighter, so makes sense for people that lack upper body strength.
