Issues with XDS - Pin above trigger walking out

I have had issues with my xds. There is a small pin above the trigger that has been "walking" out. The first time it occurred my trigger finger was burned as the shell ejected.
The second time the actual pin popped out and struck my thumb on my left hand.
I was able to get the pin back into place, however, after chambering the next round,(six left in the magazine), I fired and the slide stayed open as if the magazine was empty.
The range officer advised me to contact Springfield. I have done so twice via the website. There is clearly something wrong with this firearm.
Any ideas on how I can get this repaired?
 
I’m not sure why they’re slower with the emails but definitely call. They’ll get you fixed up.
