Jimmy Carter dead at 100

I remember how bad he was as President, but I will always be thankful for his contracted study in the early 2000's on election security. His final conclusion: Mail-in ballots are the biggest threat to a secure election. My dad also has a signed, full can of Billy Beer over his bar. Probably a tad skunky by now...

Love him or hate him Jimmy Carter was known as the worst US president in American history, that is until Barack Obama and Joe Biden were sworn in.

Sorry, but I have to disagree with some here, but Carter set this country into a death spiral during his Presidency. Gas shortages, 15% inflation (which wages never caught up to), the Iranian embassy takeover, he created problems we are still dealing with today. Anyone else who lived through those 4 years will remember how tough it was to get by. I have little sympathy for him.

He was a terrible president. He pretty much turned the middle east into the mess it is today.
But he was also a great humanitarian and a very good man. R.I.P.

I dont wish death upon him or celebrate it, but you are correct on every point you made besides that.

My folks moved to Texas in 1983. “A+” credit and 50% down payment.
Best rate on mortgage was 13% dad told me. 3% during trump is like interest free compared to Carter left over policies

Maybe not the best president (I'd say the most moral and christian president in the last 50 years, a true believer and not a fake. He actually lived it) but he was our best ex-president ever. He did some true good in this world the last 40 years. Good bye, Guinea worm, hello houses for the poor.
