Just For Fun: Built A Model Gun

BassCliff

Hi,

Since this is only a rubber band gun, I didn't want to put it in the "Guns" section. It's just a Christmas present my grandkids got me and I finally had some time to put it together. Fun stuff!

Here's the link to the toy's website: https://rokr.robotime.com/product/rokr-corsac-m60-lq401/

It looked a little complicated, but at least there were lots of pictures. :lol

It is assembled with layers of light plywood and dowels, all laser cut from the sheets.

I opted to use the plastic parts, trigger, hammer, "chamber" gear. There were also three springs in the mechanism. The plastic will last longer than the wood for the moving parts. The grandkids and I will have fun with this. ;)

Looks like we're almost done! I just have to build the cylinder sections.

And here we go! It's loaded up with six rubber bands, ready to take out the bad guys.

I'm glad they included the bright orange piece for the end of the muzzle. This thing looks pretty realistic, enough to fool someone in the dark.

A little stick of wax was included to lubricate the moving parts. The rubber band pistol functions pretty well, as long as the rubber band is strong enough to pull the SAO mechanism and "fire" the rubber band. I've already found a couple of "duds" in this bag of bands included in the toy.

Anyway, I can't wait to get the grandkids over for a little shoot-em-up contest and target practice. I can certainly teach them trigger and muzzle discipline with this. Their dad has already told them that when they're a little older they'll get to go to the range with us. How about that? ;)

This company also makes an AK-47 and a Tommy Gun. Yes, I'm enjoying my second childhood. Blessings to all.

Thank you for your indulgence,

BassCliff

I have two. A revolver and a shotgun. I’m putting laser sights on them and upgrading to tighter rubber bands for higher velocities.

Yes! Good stuff. Let me know where you find mounting hardware for your optics. ;)

Their AK-47 looks like a blast, auto fire, recoil simulation, etc. Not only will I be shopping for high velocity rubber bands, I'll need brightly colored ammo so it doesn't get lost in the carpet.
