Justice wins, finally

Zimmerman was dumb for tailing Martin, but Zimmerman was attacked by Martin. He was on the ground with Martin on top of him when he fired the shot at contact range, facts that the media left out in their rush to judgment. I spoke to investigators who worked on that case. I still shake my head at the decision to prosecute
I’m not arguing that Zimmerman was not justified however like you mentioned he was an idiot for following and put himself there. If he would have sprayed him at the onset of the physical fight like I said a good chance it would have turned out a lot different and less expensive for Zimmerman.

I could go on to also point out how lucky in one are Zimmerman was.
He used a Keltec and only fired one round that did Martin in LOL

I bought a Keltec PF 9 ( same firearm Zimmerman had ) 4 years before this story broke and I have not had a single malfunction from it. The only ammo it would not feed was Remington Golden sabre. On the same day I put other ammo through it and had no problem. Just didn't like the Remington stuff.

almost all regular folks have what is called an umbrella policy, commonly added to your house/auto insurance policy as a rider. It is that policy that can be called to pay out should you commit a "tort" under law.
i wager since he lives in new york area, at least he did.??
he has no vehicle, so no insurance and he is young so no life insurance
his job is average, he most likely does not have any other form of insurance
even if court awarded xxxxxx amount of dollars
you can only pay what you can only pay.
court sets up an allotment of say 25 dollars until paid... family gets 20 a month and 5 the state takes
at least here in texas... and if any property the state tried to take....if one othe rperson is on the title, the court cant touch it

judgement against a person is worthless unless they are wealthy, then its an insurance issue

a later article from August-

Penny has raised more than $2.9 million in defense funds.
The collected money that doesn't go toward legal funds -- which could "easily cost in the hundreds of thousands of dollars," according to Andrew M. Stengel, a defense lawyer in New York City -- will be donated "to a mental health advocacy program in New York City," according to the fundraising page.
