I'm with you there.i wonder how much that 3-day course costs in both fees and ammo? i'm guessing most of those types of courses are out of reach of the average guy. if i had my choice (and the money) i'd rather take a self/home defense workshop or a long range shooting class.
Checked it out and the course itself was $1450 for 3 days, which is not bad, but the real cost comes in when you add travel, accommodation, minimum 450 rounds a day, food, and the fact that you have to be certified in prerequisite Gunsite courses. So probably about $3k for Rob to show you how good he is.This is one of those dream vacations I've started fantasizing about since I took up the pistol a few years ago... but I'm a
l ... o ... n ... g way from where the author was before he went. Maybe I can make something like this happen before I'm too old to benefit... maybe.
Figured it wouldn't be cheap and yes, the pre-reqs are definitely in the equation! I've got a ways to go to even reach the author's level, so I'll keep plugging away in local courses. I love training and don't get enough of it, for sure.Checked it out and the course itself was $1450 for 3 days, which is not bad, but the real cost comes in when you add travel, accommodation, minimum 450 rounds a day, food, and the fact that you have to be certified in prerequisite Gunsite courses.
