A little background: The "send bachelors" flag is based on a quote of the GOP leader of the Oregon legislature, who led a walkout against the Leftist agenda set by the Democrats. He and fellow Republicans left the state
and the Demorat governor threatened to send state troopers to find and bring back these Republicans by force, and force them at gunpoint to be present in the statehouse so the Dems would have a quorum and be able to pass their gun confiscation bills. Upon hearing this threat, the GOP leader said "Send bachelors, and come heavily armed".
