testtest

Let's see your AR setups...

I have the rest of the builder set arriving on Friday. Building a 14.5" 6.5 Creedmoor, inspired by the MRGG-A program.

It's going to cause **** fit on the internet ( people love it or hate it already lol )

Well, lots of Real Men go nuts over In Violet/Plum Crazy 1970 Plymouth and Dodge musclecars and pay extra for that color, so there's THAT.... ;)
Honestly this is just more of a fun build. Plus its so off the wall bonkers of a color, I figured let's deviate from the more srs AR builds and have some fun.

Below are my other builds.

Brand NEW today! Taking it to the range this afternoon. Rock River Arms RRage...

I have 3 RRA's (18 & 26" 308, 24" chambered in 223wylde). All 3 were 2nd, 3rd and 4th AR purchase as s&w viking was in 1st. Enjoy range day and your RRAge! Was this a "stock" purchase or a build on line buy? My 3 were build on line type and none have 2-stage triggers. I haven't decided if I'm changing any of the triggers yet?

6094, is that one of those fake slip-over XM177 flash hiders? Those are pretty cool. You don't see 'em that much these days. I see it's got a slickside upper, too (no FA). ;) (y)

NO!

It's one of the Troy Industries faux GAU5/XM177 style uppers. The muzzle device is a facsimile of the original moderator, but only functions as a flash suppressor. And I believe the barrel is 11.5 inches, and the pinned and welded "moderator" is 5.5 inches long.
This thing was bought as a stand alone complete upper, I added the lower.
Even with the ARMSON, it's not even a six pound carbine.

Ah, my bad--even cooler! ;)

I have one of those fake slipover deals--bought it at a LGS back in the '80s for about $15 IIRC, figgering I'd do something cool with it someday. I was right. Eventually built up a dedicated .22LR on a DPMS upper and used it on that, to make it look and handle just a little more like the Rock River Mid-Length HBAR I also built up around the same time.

I have one of those Japanese Collector Armory fake XM177s; bought it cheap at a CA warehouse sale, also in the '80s. It was missing some stuff but I got it together, eventually. Ran across it the other day--it's a rusty mess now but with a little cleanup and touchup, it'll be good enough to hang on the wall of my Man-Cave. Will post some pics when I get it done.

Now, for the real Oddball of ARs..........
View attachment 44952

The CMMG Mutant, a "mid-sized" AR, that shoots 7.62X39, from AK magazines.
It's getting ready for a Surefire brake, and a Warden.
It's scary accurate, and loves steel cased ammo. As a matter of fact, it's the ONLY AR I'll voluntarily feed steel cased ammo to.

Bit of an update, I had put a Sig three prong flash hider on it some time ago and it seemed to accentuate felt recoil to the point of being uncomfortable.
So with the removal of the Surefire brake on my Armalite AR10A, I decided to relocate the brake to the Mutant.
Getting the CMMG handguard off was an adventure in itself, but I got it safely removed earlier today.
Tomorrow, the Surefire brake gets mounted on its new home.

Then it'll be wearing a Warden......
