Here's a cool new rifle that I'd like to get my hands on. It's a lever action rifle based on the AR platform. I can see the awesome potential of having multiple calibers available in a lever gun with just a simple upper swap.

I'm sure the some old timer curmudgeon's will pop pop this rifle as it goes against what they traditionally know as a lever gun but times change and technology changes with it.

What's everyone else's thoughts?

Also I'm just poking fun at some of the curmudgeon's here and I meant no harm with my comment, so stay salty my friends....😜

Interesting concept, I can see it being a great “on the farm gun” my opinion.

Calibers offered???

Whether a shotgun or a rifle accepting detachable mags it is an easy fix or cross over. The AR style could be a great non gas operated gun that doesn't require tuning. Swap calibers, cartridges and barrel lengths as easy as that. Nothing wrong with a levergun! Detach mag feed 45-70 and give me a call! I've seen the conversionsto a rimless, but I'll keep the original! Double stack single fed keeps the mag short.

While HERRING® Model 2024 rifles will be primarily chambered in 5.56 NATO and 300 BLK, they can be reconfigured for virtually any AR caliber from long range wonders like Hornady’s 6mm ARC, to short-range bruisers like .450 Bushmaster. Target or small game shooting with .22 LR rimfire via convenient caliber conversion kits will also be possible and HERRING® Model 2024 can also be chambered in pistol rounds like 9mm, 10mm, .45 ACP, and 5.7×28 with potentially great benefits in reduced lever-stroke length.

Price - $1,199.99

I love me some lever actions, and love me some wood and steel firearms. This here contraption... why the hell not. I have had pump rifles with magazines and the Savage 99 which I love had magazines. So why not, it's simply a modernized version of older rifles with some updated enhancements the AR platform rifles have.

I want a lever gun so badly. I love old west guns

1 way to make an AR a classic! Other than that an AR will never be classic (maybe a classic)!
I don't know, I am not an AR fan, do not own one. But, the AR/M16 platforms have been in military/police/home defence service since mid 60s, close to 60 years? Maybe more or less depending upon when they gained popular home defence traction. That's a while and its not going away any time soon.

How many are used for sporting purposes, i have heard it termed Americas sporting rifle, its that popular It's loved and trusted by what must be 2, maybe 3 generations who grew up with it as thier definition of what a rifle is, sort of like the quintessential 30/30 was to the older generations. I dont know it kind of gives credence to the idea of it being called classic in the not so distant future. No matter what my opinion of it may be.
